How to Apply
Furneux Pelham School admits children from between 4 and 11 years old and at the time of writing we have 137 children on the school roll. As a Church of England Voluntary Controlled School, we follow the county admissions policy and in the case of over subscription, criteria are applied by the Local Authority to allocate places. We can admit twenty pupils in each year group. Children who are going to be five by August 31st of that academic year attend full time from September.
Rather than holding a one off Open Morning, we like to show you around our school individually. This will give you the opportunity to meet with our headteacher, Mrs Dyson, and ask any questions you want. Please contact the school to arrange your visit. tel 01279 777344 firstname.lastname@example.org
Parents of children who are due to start school in September should complete the application form found on line at www.hertdirect.org/admissions. The local authority processes admissions and successful applicants for places are informed by them. Parents are then invited to a Coming to School meeting and children are invited to visit for a morning in the summer term.
The above link will also take you to the information that is required for making an 'In Year' application i.e. an application to any other year group apart from Reception. You must apply online to the Local Authority rather than the school via the following link, although we always welcome visits and would be more than happy to give you a tour of our school and answer any questions you may have before making your application.
