School Council 2017-2018

Our School Council once again encouraged us all to raise money for Children in Need.

We dressed ourselves and our teddies in spots for £1 and covered Pudsey in our loose change.  Well done everyone!

School Council 2016-2017

Our children in need fundraising was a huge success. Thank you to all those who gave up spare change for our fill the Pudsey. Our teddies were dressed wonderfully well and we hope you enjoyed dressing them. Our tuck shop made a mountain of money, thank you once again the amount raised  was a fantastic £245.91

At Christmas time we enjoy ripping wrapping paper off our presents. But some people aren’t as fortunate as us. The whole community of Furneux Pelham (including the school) joined in and sent 53 Christmas boxes to areas in Europe where people would be grateful for the simplest gifts. These boxes contained Christmas gifts for all ages.

Thanks to our Read-a-thon organised by our School Council 2015 - 2016 we have just received the new books which we bought with the fantastic amount of money raised and then matched by the PTFSA.  Look out for new take home and guided reading books!

School Council 2015 / 2016

This year our School Council has been very busy in fund raising.  We have organised events for Sport Relief where we had obstacle races and raised an amazing £183.93

We also raised £227.78 for Children in Need by being Champions of Change and running a race with a Pudsey theme.

We have also listened to our friends who said they would like more books to read. We agreed that some of them were rather old.  We designed a read a thon where all the children could see how many books they could read in a week.  We raised an incredible £868.90.  Our PTFA are kindly matching this amount.  One of our first jobs for the new School Council in September will be to choose the books to spend this money on.

What a brilliant year!

Don’t forget to tell us what you would like us to work on next.

Thanks
