Parent Forum   Friday 29th September 9.00

We are introducing a slightly different format this year which I hope you will find useful. At the beginning of each forum I will share with you some of the things we have been doing in school or are about to embark on. This will also be an opportunity for you to ask questions in addition to finding out what's been going on. Each meeting will also have a focus topic which, like this time, could be something raised in the parent survey. Gaining parental insight helps us to formulate our policies and procedures.  If you have a topic you think would make a useful focus please let me know.

The focus for this Friday is Attendance. We are about to review our policy and welcome your input.  How can we encourage good attendance? Should we reward it? If so how?

Please let the school office know if you will be attending.

Message from the FPSA      Stop and Drop - VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

As you all know, our "Stop and Drop" system in the mornings, set up and run by volunteer parents, offers an invaluable service to many. It makes life easier for parents, eases congestion and makes the road outside the school safer for our children.

We are really in need of some volunteers! Our numbers are low and we currently only have 1 volunteer on a Thursday, which is not enough. We are keen to keep this service running, but desperately need some more help to be able to do this.

If you can spare just 15 minutes even just one morning a week - from 8.35-8.50am, please let the school office know. It would be very much appreciated.

FPSA Meeting is tomorrow Thursday 8.15pm at the Catherine Wheel where we’ll be discussing our plans for the year ahead. All parents and carers are welcome to attend – the more the merrier.

A reminder that next week is Bikeability Training for all Year 5/6 children.

On Monday morning all Year 5/6 pupils will need to bring both their bike and a helmet.  They will also need to wear their PE top, trainers and tracksuit bottoms for the sessions - I would suggest bringing a waterproof jacket too.  Bikes can be left at school for the week, but will need to be secured either within the bike shed or elsewhere in the school grounds - children wishing to leave their bike at school will need to bring a bike lock into school for the week and will be responsible for securing their bike.
