Mental Health and Well Being

Two events which we think you might be interested in are as follows, access to them is via https://www.parent-cloud.com/parent-cloud-hub/

(The password was sent to you in the email on Friday 26th Feb)

  • The last of the kids' lockdown parties - next Thursday 4th March at 3.30pm. This is a virtual superhero-themed party with Captain Fantastic and sounds like it is a lot of fun!
  • "Supporting your child with their transition back to school" on Wednesday 3rd March at 1.30.  If you cannot attend live at this time, you can register and, once it's finished, the recording will be made available to you.

If you have any questions or problems, please feel free to direct them straight to Mrs. Blakeman or for more help catherine@parent-cloud.com.

Feeling Good Week - February 8th - 12th 2021

The focus will be on the Five Ways to Wellbeing whilst having opportunities for the children to express themselves in creative ways. We are starting the week by asking the children to come to ‘school’ wearing their favourite colours or an outfit which expresses themselves - whether they are learning from home or actually coming into school!

Mindful Music

Children in Chopin and Gershwin classes were asked to listen to some of Mrs. Dyson's favourite calming and relaxing pieces of music and choose their favourite.

It was very close but Nuvole Bianche by Ludovico Einaudi just beat the others. Several of the children felt so chilled and relaxed they almost fell asleep!

Click on the links to find your own favourite - or maybe even help you nod off!!!

The children came to 'school' dressed in either their favourite colour or in an outfit that expressed themselves. (scroll through)
Children were encouraged to give a little help at home,  giving acts of kindness.
Some learned new skills!
Colouring monsters is a good way of expressing how we are feeling during lockdown.
