Sports Premium

The Government gives additional money to provide new, substantial primary school sport funding in order to improve the provision of physical education and sport in primary schools.

This funding is ring-fenced and therefore schools must use the funding to make additional and sustainable improvements to the quality of PE and sport they offer. The DfE has identified 5 key indicators across which schools should demonstrate an improvement. These are reflected in our action plan.

We will be held accountable for how we have used the additional funding to support pupils progress and participation in PE and school sport.

Furneux Pelham School have achieved the School Games Gold Mark Award for the 2022/23 academic year!

The School Games Mark is a Government-led award scheme launched in 2012 to reward and recognise school’s engagement (provision and uptake) in the School Games against a national benchmark and to celebrate keeping young people active, and we are delighted to have been recognised for our successes.
